Love never disappears, it just diverts..

Love never disappears, it just diverts..

A Poem by PP

Love never disappears
It just diverts
In the journey
There are many crossroads and many potholes
Sometimes,
 lovers disconnect
They take their own course
They abide to their growing differences
The man decides to walk aside to catch a good view of the rainbow
The woman rushes to see if there is a pot of gold; at the end of the rainbow.
They get lost
Out of eachother's sight
Do their own thing
Follow their own instinct
They become solo singers in some crazy country pub
Sometimes they gather fans
Even enjoy few one night stands
But
In a crazy corner of their solo hearts
There is a space that is not their's
The love is still alive, and when they realise
They pack up and leave
They let their instinct guide their path
With a hope:
That they will meet again to restart a happy life
With a hope:
That their paths will cross again and everything will be fine..

Not sure if this is a pessimistic or optimistic post .. maybe it's how i'm feeling rather than how your wonderful words 'lay on the page'. We meet people, we say goodbye; surely the good and sweet times should be remembered and the dark shadows are what we might not want to learn but should. And maybe what we do take from the past leads to something special .. but then, it takes two to do that tango!

More people should read your writing, it deserves more than a quick scan, it always gets the mind working, this and other posts. Thank you.

i love the flavor of this piece, it is real and gritty, with all the pitfalls of a relationship but when two paths diverge is it always better that they re-emerge further down the road? it is usually not the case, and there is often good reason. most of the roads we travel in life, any of great distance, are never retraced for lack of interest or because of unhappy memories of the journey. this is a profound and resonant write, worthy of my faves list.

came back to this and was thinking...

the real pot of gold is their love...and they don't know that they are sitting on such a treasure...they are never satisfied.

This is so amazing!!!! I love how you compare love to everything and I absolutely love the idea that love never goes away, it just gets forgotten. This really got me thinking which is in and of itself a miraculous miracle. Thank you for this amazing piece of work!!!! I'd make you a cake if I didn't have a cat sitting on me.

a very good indepth look at relationships, you have captured it with a skill of observation that goes over so many so that they become deluded and angry..you see the beauty in all connections...

This is a beguiling read, it's so true for so many of us...I've lived this at least. Lovers and life do this same dance....

My favorite line is...
'They become solo singers in some crazy country pub'

That summed it up for me...nicely done.

welcome and back atcha! ;)
I like the message of the poem: love will be there ,always, reminds me of bravery stories that claim that as long as the fire is still burning , there is still a chance.
and you took this message and forged it into this short story line of two lovers that chose their own path, and there is this chance that they will meet again.

I can also relate it to myself, and it makes me think, and fills me up with hope.
Thank you!!

Thank you Sir Jaykom :)
I think it's not the the roads you take, it's the final destination. Lovers can take two completely different paths and still find the destination is the same. Sometimes they need to go their own way before they can meet up again. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing this.
