Harsh Agliophobia

Harsh Agliophobia

A Poem by Raj Sahu
"

Poem based on the fear of pain.

"

O! Lord the Almighty!
You keep your eye
Upon me
In each and every stage
of my painful life.

What can I do My Lord?
A sufferer of Agliophobia,
A Fear of pain;
that wanders over me
and on my love.

The Pain is too painful
Unbearable it is,
Like an Innocent bairn
I weep
due to a thought of Pain.

In your comfort,
My Lord, the Almighty
What Agliophobia, What other
You are My savior, my lord
Comforter of Agliophobia.

As a person who has lived with intense all-over pain CONSTANTLY thru-out my life, I have a hard time relating to anyone who’s afraid of pain. Thanks for teaching me a new word, tho (title word) *smile* I feel your somewhat-rambling poem is a little too lighthearted to convey the true sense of how someone might honestly be so afraid of pain, he/she will not try doing things that involve risk. Your poem is one-dimensional – and it’s a good message, that God is the one to relieve us of our silly fears. But I don’t feel you made this a multi-dimensional message to show the different depths of how it can be, when a person has some irrational fear that’s life-altering. Still, sometimes we want to write a lighthearted message as we play with some new word & that’s the way this feels (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you.
It is a rare subject, indeed a tough subject, to compose a poetry upon but you did it. I like the trust you have on God. Worth reading.

'I weep
due to a thought of Pain"
Interesting lines........
I have never come across Agliophobia until reading your poem......
I like how you broach upon the topic for your poems and this poem is altogether different and really unique.
The detailed description you gave is also great as this is a rare subject.
Great work.:)
