Dead in My Arms

Dead in My Arms

A Poem by M00nZ0mBie69
"

Complexity is beauty?

"

She took me by the arms

And into the night

I know that it's wrong

But we're not always right

And it took us to question

Who's using who

I'd die in your arms

If you'd die too

Maybe it's the little dreams

Or the stars in the sky

I'd lay in your arms

Every night

And I did question

But you never listened

Would you die in my arms

If I was dead too?

And what makes us kill?

Straining out my pain again

Those little things that make us kill

You are my sweet lullaby

I kiss you; oh, darling goodbye

Inside, I always knew

After you lied in my arms

You'd die too

Perhaps it is because I am slightly unbalanced or just because I am balanced in my own special way, but I read this as if it were spoken aloud after a man not quite in his right mind had just... well, murdered his love.

This sounds like something very close to true and solid love.

About
I'm 18 years old and enjoy writing poetry. I do not have a particular style of writing, but I enjoy being different from most. I love reading poetry, if it's really worth reading. I hope to be a Poet .. more..
