Love

Love

A Poem by Rozetta

Love

Is an ocean I fall in

Without a tail to swim,

Without a trail to follow.

At times,

It’s a dream;

A strange volcano

Going mad inside of me,

pouring from my heart,

filling me in a way that

every breath inhaled far from him

is a gush of poison,

a flame,

Igniting the fire wilder.

At other times,

It’s a stranger

I do not understand.

A stranger

Whose existence is merely

In the imagination

Of a woman

Who is longing for a feeling

Abducting her from reality.

A reality,

She never made sense of.

A reality,

she always felt left behind in.

and I wait here

half hopeful,

half scared.

I wait here

Wondering about the destination

Of a heart

Whose whispers

Have long been

Silenced.
