Perfect Solitude

Perfect Solitude

Lyrics to a song to be sung...

            Perfect Solitude
                                 By Sami Khalil

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I want to invite you
Even if you're uncomfortable
To my perfect solitude.

I want you to relax
Take a deep breath
Mind you this imprisonment
We are being glued.

Would you happen to know
Or have you overlooked
The backgrounds we share
The velvet thoughts
The adverts fading away
Into the hypnotic mood.

Lady of grace
Of brighter mornings
Of mislabeled nights
I want to remake songs
Where everything is
Merely a cover
A muffled substitute.

I want to lead in love
Keeping it low key
Where every prelude
Is a quiet rendition
To these two hearts
In perfect gratitude.

I want to invite you
When you are comfortable
To my perfect solitude
To my perfect solitude...

I was once told that solitude is to be destitute of Love, or the one you love; I was much younger then and I didn't believe. Now, with all these years on my shoulders, I'm a believer..
Now to your profound poetry; the perfect solitude would only be not that, but perfection with the one that makes you whole.... Lovely, and apologies for going off in at tangent

I always liked your style. Free verse is the best ;) Means your mind is full of wanderlust.
"Lady of grace

A muffled substitute."

This reminds me of what my other half always says to me. "I want to write our story, love. Not sit back and let you go". I think it's sweet.

Very nice.

'Where every prelude -- Is a quiet rendition ' As to 'perfect solitude' - where two are one, perhaps?

There's a happy change of style with this beautiful post, Sami. Your medium is more free verse than structured, a lesser usage of complex words, more delicate, more naturally loving, perhaps. Maybe there's a more familiar air about your phrasing? What- and whichever, it all just flies into the mind's busy eyes, mind and heart.

It took me to a perfect solitude, to feel the way you wrote it.
I can definitely see a tune to this song.. And hope it surely is sung :)
(May be I only will try to sing it :P )

Well done Sami once again, I have not been here for a while..
But I see a lot of your new work, and hope to read them all :)

What a gorgeous seduction. Dripping in mood so viscous it coats the pallete...so smooth. This is meditation for the soul and spirit.

Beautiful! Rach x

This piece is both beautiful and alluring. I like how the first line is inviting. It draws the reader in and captivates. Solitude is precious. A place to renew and restore. Our restless minds and spirits. To share in that solitude is to offer a gift, in discovering new joys, in moments made of pure bliss.
A very lovely and delightful read.

Sami, this read like Ravel's Bolero, nice and smooth seduction luring the women's love into your trust, then huff and puff and blow her house of lust/ love down in Holst's Planets, the final crescendo before the final curtain falls in blissfull sleep for two. This write was the calm before the storm!lol:) Great stuff Sami.

this is poetic beauty at its finest, Poet Friend...your words paint an alluring
landscape that both awakens a stagnant imagination *writer's block*
and invites to soar.
solitude is indeed comforting, for it recharges one's emotional and mental batteries
a vacation if you will...to look inward & try to remember lessons learned from
experience, or to exhale the beauty of them. your words are always a joy to
read. love every word you have used & how you used them. again, this is pure
beauty & something i needed to read tonight. so glad to have come back and
read your gifted ink, Sami. :) 100,00000000xs - favs//100th

This is poetry on another level, and the ability to create a mood in the reader with your work is amazing. Great job!
