The Call

I wrote it to draw suspense to the story.

"So I just wanted to tell you that I am free on Sat. and I can't wait for our date." He said date. I couldn't believe it! All I could say was "Yeah I can't wait either." I thought I sounded so desperate. There was a brief of silence when finally I heard," Hey so ummmmm... what are you doing?" I said, "Well I'm just on my bed." OMG I sound like a total weirdo! On my bed?! Thats all I could think of!? There wa a long pause of silence between us. I wasn't surprised. If I was him, I would of hung up already. He finally said, "Well I guess I'll see you Sat. then?" All I could do is nodd. O thought to myself. Say something stupid! He can't see you nodd! "Yeah. I'll see you then." I hung up. That's all I could do.Then I remembered. SERENE! I jumped off my bed and went on the computer. I was gonna find out what happened, the easy way or the hard way. I e-mailed her. Of course sat there for hours. She never replied. Then I will have to go in hard. "Lyla! Get your car started! Please its urgent. My friend needs me at her house pronto!"
