She's her own sustenance

She's her own sustenance

A Poem by wolfie

Annual doses of despair and pain
Tick tock
Season of Rain
Eventually
Those nightly terrors and tears
No longer able to be kept in the cage
Come along for the ride
Everywhere, emotions host in the heart like tar in valves
Outside of the door
She carries a rainstorm in her, a flood rising from a broken dam
Yet
She'll use the flood to bring life back to the land
