Gamer

See if you can guess what video game i'm talking about Answer at the bottom :)

Energy running through my fingers
and down into my thumbs
Strike the buttons, one, two, three
Make the beast succumb

Pull out the arrow and the bow
Raise that mirror shield
The sword in hand, shining bright
Trying not to yield

The green, the red, then the gray
jump, slash, shoot
A water bomb and boomerang
and shining iron boots

Then falls the monster with a mighty crash
And vanishes in thin air
Receive the token and the heart
Then up the glittering stair

A word of thanks but growing alarm
A new task rings at hand
And off again on proud brown horse
to another dungeon land

And so the cycle repeats with ease
my senses mesmerized
The controller my friend, the screen my love
eager for the next surprise

It was incredibly easy to tell that it was Zelda, and which ones particularly haha. I think the only way someone wouldn't have known, was if they'd never heard of Zelda before in their life. But it was a very fun poem, quite enjoyable to read. I adored the rhythm, it flowed so smoothly. Great poem!
