Cat in the Wind

Miles away a thought takes flight

hitching a ride on the tail

of a sigh that is

 

fragrant from eternal now

And engaging thoughts of then,

It becomes the breeze.

 

From nowhere to somewhere,

the breeze shivers the surface

of the midnight sea

 

and stealth across

its vastness, it gleams

from moonlight beams.

 

synchronized in time,

another sighs

 

and for a moment

timeless, they are connected

by the cat that travels in the wind.

I looked at your Twilight poem and this one and I definitely prefer this one as I can hear it very strongly also it conjours up the attendant images. I think the third verse is the best, with the first line being magical as it seems to me it applies to us all.
