this i wrote after contemplating me past

Understanding What Happened-January 12,2011

i fell apart so quickly

barely put up a fight

i was so pathetic 

i should have known this wasn't right

i was putty in your hands

and you knew that was true

your mind games kept me crazy

why did i love you

the wounds you cut

were messy and deep

some days i just sat there

i couldn't even weep

i didn't know myself enough 

to break free of your every curse

by the time it was over

my heart nearly burst

i'm just sad that you took me

some parts i haven't recovered

might be lost forever

so i will continue to suffer

that one mistake so long ago

i can hardly remember

the memories will die

just like the last ember

still paranoid i look around

i don't trust your kind

they invade me space

and it just gets worse over time

i'm lost in my hate 

but i try exercise control

maybe i will eventually fall

and loose the rest of my soul
