A love not mine

A love not mine

A Poem by Somewhere

Why do I continue to find a love that will never be mine?

Why does my heart insist on this pain?

What is there to gain?

Taunting my soul

A hunger never to be satiated

Challenging me with temptation

Lurks in waiting

It will die of starvation

I feel for the emptiness that this poem invokes. The befuddling nature of love can be such a headache. I stopped dating a few years ago because I got so tire of the let downs. Now days if I meet someone I like I'm brutally upfront about my feelings and if they aren't scared off within 24 hours, i know at least I've got a friend. =)
