Privledge

Privledge

A Poem by Sophia V

Not everybody has the opportunity to hear the sound of their own voice.
Not everyone gets to hear the silence.
Not everyone gets to be heard at all.
Not everyone gets to laugh uncontrollably.
Not everybody gets to be happy at all.
Not everybody can pursue their dreams,
Not everyone can dream at all.
Not everybody gets to be fed and full by the end of the day,
not everyone has food at all.

And not everybody lives life to the fullest,
not everybody truly lives at all.

Wow..selfless and outward-looking..beautiful rhythm with a nice melodic touch and a "not everybody truly lives at all" great ending..so many privileges some have and others don't while the latter can be content and the former miserable..the more u have the more u want and the less you have perhaps the less you need..you got me contemplating and counting my blessings..but isn't that the effect that poets can have :)

Got new poems awaiting your elegant presence..
