Dances

Dances

A Poem by Sophie

What is more precious?

The sun and moon's endless dance?

Or man's dance with death?

Sophie
um, there's some sort of deeper meaning, but I couldn't explain it if i tried.

Wow! It actually made me think to find out what is more precious or I say interesting? :) I agree there is some deeper meaning here which can not be explained but can be sensed or judged if one wants to. But the question remains un answered, unexplained, unsolved. . I guess just as the question is complicated in itself, the answer must be more complicated whose each word will be like a string connected to something unknown. Or should I just say to this question that 'I don't know' and walk away cause that seems the most easiest thing to do.

Wonderful thought, brilliant piece of thinking. There's few things that stuck in my mind while processing and these three lines are one of them. Love it. Keep writing and keep sharing.

I believe "The sun and moon's endless dance?" Can't concern yourself with death. It will come. What you do before death touches you is important. A powerful three lines. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

Whatever the meaning was, it must have struck my subconcious, because I'm moved! Loved it!

Hmm, I'll give this one a shot.
By the sun and moon's endless dance you must mean the cycle of day and night. And this is the life we live for no matter what happens they will always dance.
With man's dance with death, there's no fighting it. It's the inevitable.
So as a fight within ourselves as what is more precious, I would say you may be trying to say whether life is more precious then it's length? Kinda how it's better to live a short but great life instead o a long but terrible one? There will always be a special meaning for you but I believe thats the meaning I'm getting from it and I love it.
This was a really great haiku, I'm impressed Sophie
