What Happened?

What Happened?

A Poem by speakingcolors

Silly Putty

Play Dough

Green Gak

Oh no

Hula Hoop

Hop Scotch

Jump Rope

Just watch

Knick-Knack

Patty Whack

Give the kid an 8-track

She's inside

All alone

Talking on her cell phone

Hide and Seek

Foot race

Jumpin Jacks

No trace

Lego sets

Model cars

Paper planes

Oh my stars

Knick-Knack

Patty Whack

Give the kid a Hacky Sack

He's inside

All alone

Talking on his cell phone

Stick ball

Silly games

Freeze tag

Just names

Laptop

iPods

New phones

are gods

Knick-Knack

Patty Whack

Give the kids a Nap Sack

They're inside

All alone

Texting on their cell phones

Though I can't really find a core meaning to this, the mood, I really related by means of the mentioning of all of those things that were once a comfort. I found patternt there.

I absolutely ADORE the third stanza with a white-hot passion of a thousand burning stars. I mean, I loved it. It sounds so fantastic and had such a colorful flow and rhyme scheme that I smiled quite a few times.
This was lovely, to say the very least.
