The Transition

The Transition

A Poem by Olando Lucas

The Transition

God, as I transition from one life cycle unto my Destiny, I pray that you pick up my wearied soul and carry it through the fires of redemption. Carry my soul to the bottom of the sea, drown my soul while you rebirth the living me. Carry my soul, so that my tears shall not be seen, carry my soul as you have always carried me. God carry my worried soul away from the eyes of the enemy, take me to the place that you need me to be. Lord, carry my soul until I’m reborn, until my soul rejoices in your glory and never again reflect on its past pains. God carry my soul unto the hill of Zion and let the angels carry my sorrow, God carry my soul into the place that is mine for eternity, and this place for the living fulfilled me.
