Can You Stop Already?

CAN YOU STOP ALREADY?!

Can you look at yourself in the mirror?

And tell me what you see inside and out.

No, you can’t.

Too many people have convinced you of what you are,

but really none of it, is true.

You say,

You’re not wanted,

not loved,

not cared for.

You say

you’re ugly,

worthless,

invisible.

I disagree with all of it,

they don’t know you.

You are an amazing,

understanding,

caring,

loving person.

Any girl would kill to have an amazing guy like you.

But honey you got to remember,

No one can love you,

until YOU love yourself.

I’m done hearing you want to end your life.

I’m done hearing you call yourself worthless.

I’m done seeing the pain in your eyes.

I’m done seeing that fake smile of yours.

You are a beautiful person.

You have beautiful smile.

You have a beautiful laugh.

You have such beautiful eyes.

You have a beautiful personality.

But you also have a beautiful heart,

just one that's in pain.

Its something most people lack in this generation.

You have scars that each tell a story,

but I need you to turn the page

its not worth making anymore marks,

knowing that it will only bring you back to the past.

You. Are. Wanted.

You. Are. Loved.

You. Are. Worth. It.

But so many people got you to think

what they see.

That all you have now is a dark mind.

I know you have a beautiful soul,

but you let them ruin you,

control you,

kill you…

When will you put your foot down and be in control of yourself?

Life is never fair.

You just have to know how to survive.

And how to be independent.

You have to know

how to let go of the ones that hurt you

and hold on to the ones that

guide and love you.

Everyone's story is different,

just like there battles.

We all have a war inside us

that we’re fighting.

Whether its a big one

or.. a small one.

But you can’t surrender now,

not yet.

You got to keep fighting.

Fight off your struggles.

Fight off your past.

Fight off your bad memories.

Fight. For. Your. Happiness.

Fight. For. Your. Strength.

Fight. For. Yourself.

Author's Note

Honestly I could have said some more to this, but I basically wrote this for a friend. You know now and days we spend our times arguing with each other and ignoring each other that we really cant say much to each other anymore. We can't explain what bothers us anymore, we can't explain what's happening, we're just not opened with each other as we use to be. I mean that's life right. But my words in trying to help him through life and help him make himself strong enough that he can handle anything is a journey. I guess you could say now and days I don't know how to be straight forward with him without him thinking negative about himself. So I just thought I needed to write some things out, I really do hope you guys enjoy this poem I don't quite know if what I said in this description will really fit with the poem, but worth a shot.
