Taken From Me

As we dance within each others eyes

Our souls twist and turns

Consumed by love

That pulled me through

Some very tough times

Days into night

My eyes shed tears for you

I'm blessed to have known your love

And yet, at times, I feel cursed too

Only because you were taken from me

And as far as I'm concerned

You left prematurely

I was not prepared to let go

Of our love, our laughter

And my heart yearns so

And even though you're no longer here

I can close my eyes

And visions of you

Keep memories alive

I beg of you, a sign

To let me know

Your spirit carries on

And your love still stands by my side.

How beautiful is this? Very poignant and bittersweet. I've often asked for a sign too...sometimes butterflies flutterby and I think that's it. Maybe you've had a sign and not realized. Lovely, this is a favorite of mine.

My sister loved butterflies, had them released at her wedding. When we were on the church steps that last day, a butterfly fluttered between me and my brother and just stayed there for a few seconds. We both looked at each other knowingly. I don't know if all that's true, but I want to believe that was a message.
