Life

Life

A Poem by Tarry Franck
"

My inspiration for this was my Mother. I can't have children so I just imagined what she would see through her own eyes and how it made her feel.

"
For years you tread rough soil
Plant a seed
Watch it grow
Nurture it along the way
Knowing it can diminish within a day,
So delicate they can be
Guidance you can give
Through their eyes, you can not see
And their life, you can not live,
You can pave the way
Of what you want
And how their life should be
Give encouraging words
Loving embraces
And hope for the best
But their life is
Their true test,
Without a doubt you will always be
The one who always cares
With unconditional love
And you will be
Their guardian through life
Here on Earth
As well as Heaven above.

Absolutely beautiful! The unconditional love we give our children and how we will always be there for them. It is hard because we want to do everything for them and give them the perfection they need. However, we have to let them experience on their own the challenges life often brings. Enjoyed your poem!

Thank you - I can't have children but my inspiration for this poem came from my mother!

This is a beautiful poem that not only sounds inspiring, but caring and loving. Most people, in my opinion, cannot get the voice of the poem right when speaking about parents and children, but this was excellent.

Thank you! That makes me feel good that this poem touched you so much to actually go hug your kids :.. read more
As a mom this really tugged at my heart strings. Unconditional love, what we all hope and pray for, it's a bittersweet read after reading your note, still lovely and comforting nonetheless. Nice one.
