I + U =

I + U =

A Poem by timcampbell

an extraneous root
in your linear equation
a removable discontinuity
to add to your (dys)function

don't simplify me to
be your imaginary number
don't let I be factored
out of your expression

I doesn't equal
some simple value
a banal integer
to rational(ize) your life

the quotient won't
give you the solution
and I is too square
to be completed by U

calculations allow for
a one percent margin
and our differences let
our sums equal nothing

Wow. You made me almost like math. Hehe.

This is so perfectly written... An awesome theme/idea, too, and one I would've never thought of. It makes me want to read it over and over, like all of your other poems! You are seriously one of my favorite poets.

You better make a book or two (or three, or four...) sometime in the future, so I can buy them. lmao XD

This is great. I dig the consistency in this writing your theme is obvious and well executed.

Thanks!
