The Lone Wolf

The Lone Wolf

A Poem by Alyssa Dufresne

The lone wolf returns

From absence of familiar;

Longing for kind face,

Yearning for a companion,

And dying for attention.

I think it's interesting that your lone wolf longs for companionship and attention. More often than not, when people write about the lone wolf, they write about how proud and noble it is to be alone. You give it more depth (and, in a word, humanity) in these few short lines than most could in pages. Very well done.
