An Apology

An Apology

A Poem by Gabby The GAB
"

You know who you are

"
Sorry Curly.
It may be in the past but I would like to let you know, that past hit so much in me.
I never forgot the time when I was very pathetic to you.
I never excused myself to remember the impropriety of my behavior.
You were the very first one to ask about my fondness to certain individuals.
It was you first, I knew that but I was lame and shy, sorry.
I told you some numbers and one number was empty entitled as “secret”.
You asked for what was the secret and asked and asked … and asked, I was lame.
I always answered avoiding the main question, again, I was lame.
I told you I would tell you personally but I didn’t, I’m very sorry for I was lame.
Sorry I termed it as numbers and put you in the second number.
It was never a ranking and I never meant it that way.
The numbers were implying in the manner to which I could say I like you too.
Among the individuals I mentioned there were two that I had chance liking me too.
Because for once in a while I would like to have someone liking me too.
I expressed deeply wishing I could be understand but it was always a one-sided adventure.
Numbers were not meant to make you feel inferior to the other.
Sorry if I made you felt that way.
Lesser than that number doesn’t make anyone less priority.
I know I was lame and stupid, I get that a lot.
One regret is that I didn't had the courage enough to ask you the same.
I had the chance to make it up for you, but I was senseless.
When I’m nervous I just felt like not talking at all.
A day, we saw each other but we didn’t talk at all, it was sad.
I was not as expressive as you thought me to be.
I just can’t seem to put myself in the category you could be proud.
I had many friends.
When I say friend, you know what a friend is for me.
I had friends that treat me now as a stranger.
It’s sad and I don’t want you to be like that.
I wrote this wishing I could make it up to you.
A principle I hadn’t ruled well and the promise I had broken.
Sorry curly.
