No Flowers,No Candy

No Flowers,No Candy

A Poem by wordman
"

"
No flowers
no candy
can i give

But these sweet words
i freely give
no wisdom,no great knowledge
do i have to bestow

But there`s one thing you should know
i will always love you so
you`ve been my mom through thick or thin
and you`ve always been there when i needed a friend

Eventhough you sleep in the arms of angels
it makes me feel better if a card i can write
so happy mothers day mom, from me to you
and mom ,i will always love you...

Your tribute to your mom comes across as very sincere & heartfelt. I like the way you start . . . we're thinking you can't afford these things, but then we later see that there's no way for you to put anything tangible into her hands anymore. Even tho the situation has a sad note, overall your poem feels upbeat & positive. Thanks for sharing a glimpse into your true feelings.

thank you for reading
A graceful gift of poetry in a tribute so eloquently written to one's mother. A beautiful pen.

thank you jane,we can`t forget them mothers
Oh my. This brought tears to my eyes. It's a horrible feeling to have words for someone that can no longer hear them...even though hopefully they can, somehow. Beautiful poem.
