Shattered Hearts

Shattered Hearts

A Poem by Natalia
"

"You would never have loved me back, my heart was meant to shatter"

"

You come in here and you smile at me

Like we can go back to the way things use to be,

But we made our decisions and you chose a different path,

In the end you left me broken, you had the last laugh

I try to pull it together, but how can you not see

How you have changed me forever, and so dramatically?

Before you I wandered through life without a clue,

But when you came into my life, I was born anew

The more time we spent together, the more I loved you,

Your soul was beautiful, and your eyes were too,

But even though I would have died for you, it just didn't matter,

You would never have loved me back, my heart was meant to shatter

Now that you are gone, breathing has become hard,

Like my lungs have been ripped out and are forever marred,

A pain sits in my chest and never goes away,

It has become so hard to just get through the day

So now you come back, and pretend that nothing has changed,

And a part of me wishes we were not estranged,

But now I must do what I could not before,

I take a deep breath, and I walk out the door

I hate when such kinda things eventually happens especially with or among the friends. Your this poem really made me emotional because when we're in love we the hell yeah restart the life but when the someone breaks the heart of mine then for us it's really tough to stand up again and get back into the life again ... but when we think about life and time and world then our inner souls force us to let the someone go into fire, let the pain go int winds, let the hurt go into dirt and let go to walk out the door of rain, the place of pain.

Very nice and a bit an inspirational poem.

Thank you!
I have always said that if I ever split up with my boyfriend, I would never get back with him, because I would think about what caused us to break up in the first place. But I guess you never know what you're gonna do in a certain situation until you're actually in that situation, and they do say that love is blind... This is a beautifully crafted poem and I love the strong ending :)

There is so much emotion in this poem. I can definitely relate. I love the strong ending, and the way the words flow together, so perfectly. This is beautifully written poetry coming straight from your soul. I really enjoyed reading this!
