First touch

First touch

A Poem by Céce

Edges of your eyes,
soft gathered lashes, I'm
trying not to look
too much.
My finger twitches
(I think you see)
and in a sweet, leftover gesture,
our breaths
sucked in,
your fingers suddenly

wrap mine. Oh!

between us,
your hands
carefully sift through
the passions of
my heart.

You've always had a way with words, to dance us in that chasm that love erases forever. I love the beautiful, lifting way you let us feel alive again in that first touch.

Malagasy Proverb: "Let your love be like the misty rains, coming softly, but flooding the river."

Posted 5 Years Ago eloquent piece...such soft strokes of the literary brush...evocative of tender love and gentle heart...lovely write...

Each line breathes elegance.

Has the spirit of haiku, while extending the expressivity.

The visual structure of the poem enhances the breathless sublimity of the content.

This was very romantic Cece. I really like the way it flowed and the look of it was really cool.

Thanks for sharing.

the first line's syntax seems a little contorted, however I do like the estrangement. The visual caught my eye, and I think it reflected the momentary gesture. It's a very short, intimate act, that expands to the more grand concept of passion. Nice concise landscape.
