oh coroner

oh coroner

A Poem by ZmH

on a metal table

you shall lie

cold dead corpse

through any eyes

coroner  could not see

what you had once meant to me

he cutts and prys

destroys my life

he does not care for the tears i cry

or the body that lies

he sees cause, but not respect

he does not care for whats left

he leaves me with mangled love

as if my heart isnt destroyed enough

respect for the dead he does not shed

even if the person on his cold metal table

had one of his family labels

who would not care

just tear into ones heart

this you could see from the start

oh coroner, oh coroner

have you no heart

why is it you must start

destroy whats left

have you no respect for death?

Very good....I understand when I had to give permission for my Grandma's autopsy. I am sure the coroner did not see what a wonderful woman she was & how she affected everyone's life that she touched.

A Coroner is a hard job. I couldn't do it. I believe a Coroner must become colder with time. Description and story was very good. Left me with question of a mind and soul of the people who work on the dead. A excellent poem.
