My penning can be dark, yet I seek also that moment of genuine light, of release, but never at the cost of looking truthfully, courageously and deeply at what much of society may tend to avoid. The challenge is to explore the whole of the human experience including the shadow self, seek the essence of a matter, to tell it as it is, as best as can be discerned, free from the mindless repetition of those for whom thought is painful. To find the core of reality, however raw, to stir and probe - grasp insight even when cloaked as an 'enemy,' to see it as a treasured friend - ah, this means life!
