Everyone has those dreams. Ones people who are stuck in them pray that they are not real. The ones where you wake up in a cold sweat after being chased down the street by a man with a knife or watching through the eyes of a child as they are attacked by someone they know.

Most people actually have to face the reality of those dreams in real life. Whether it be the senseless death of a friend or loved one, being conned by a conman, not knowing where your child is when by all rights they should be home with you or even just sitting on your comfortable couch and watching it all unfold on the evening news.

I myself am a mother of three wonderful children. All of whom I hope and pray, like every other normal parent, will grow up in a world where there isn't so much violence. I spend a lot of long nights thinking the worst possible things that could happen in this world. There is little I can do about them, as I am only but one person.

However I have decided that rather than letting my sleepless nights of imagining every horror known to mankind go to waste that I would put pen to paper and let my visions have a life of their own for a while. At least these dreams will be somewhat confined between the covers of a book and my readers minds.

And somewhere, somehow there will be justice.
