"The real problem is in the hearts and minds of men. It is easier to denature plutonium than to denature the evil spirit of man."
"No matter how dark life may seem, I have found great joy can always be found by filling your dog's mouth with peanut butter."
My name is Bill Hancock. I grew up in the deep country of northeast Texas and later in the Houston area.
I am an executive in professional baseball. I am the Director of Operations for the Laredo Broncos. www.laredobroncos.com
My hobbies include almost anything outdoors. I fish the surf along the Texas coast for sharks to tag for the Apex Predator Program as well as fishing for Speckled Trout, Bull Redfish and anything else that cruises through the surf zone. I also fish the Gulf of Mexico, lakes, bays and rivers from my kayak.
I spend the fall and winter hiking and camping and have a special love of the mountains.
My main passion is fly fishing though. Saltwater or freshwater, 2wt, 8wt or 12wt fly rod, dry flies, wet flies, floating line, sinking line and on and on. I tie my own flies and have spent far too much money on something that is a mere "hobby". I do fly fish from my kayak as well.
I also enjoy sailing but one expensive hobby is enough. I sail when I get the chance to go with friends on their boats. I always have my fly rod in tow though.
If you want to know more just ask. I'm an open person, secure and friendly.
One note: Please don't feel compelled to give any of my writings a review if I review yours first. I know people lead busy lives and sometimes only have time to write a story or poem. I don't review/rate anyone's material with any expectations of them reviewing/rating mine. I do sincerely appreciate though when people take the time to read my imperfect writings. I take criticism and opinions seriously and appreciate them. I have thick skin and I'm a big boy so unless you talk bad about my dog, I'm not going to get upset over a negative review. I'll do my best and learn from it and try to improve the material.
