About Me

Charlotte Wensleydale was born in 1779. Details of her early life are unknown.

Her first collection of poetry, "Ruminations upon Several Occasions" was published in London in 1793 at the age of 14. A brief engagement to Rev Arthur Stilton ended with his tragic death in 1799, and that event marked a shift in her poetry, taking on a darker and more sombre tone.

In 1827, she was abducted by aliens and taken to the planet Cryptikon VII in the Virgilian star system. Advanced technology allowed her to freeze the ageing process, and she continued writing poetry. She is still alive, and her poems occasionally make their way back to Earth, where they are disseminated on various websites.

She occasionally reviews work by fellow poets on Earth, and enjoys gin (which she introduced to Cryptikon VII) and cookery.
