About Me

Greetings fellow cyber-space patrons, would-be Wordsworths and aspiring authors! I am decidedly loath to wax lyrical about myself, being but a humble scribe prone to rescuing kittens from trees, damsels in distress and anything else in need of saving :) When not hanging out at train stations pitting my powers against unsuspecting trains, I can be found at shooting ranges racing bullets, or in my humble abode applying wax to my thigh-high red-leather boots or darning the holes in my cape. If not found in any of these necks of the wood, you may have some luck espying me at any purveyor of red men's briefs, or those with an ample supply of blue spandex. :)

Okay, Superman jokes notwithstanding, here's who I am:

I am a twenty-nine year old, living in the Fairest Cape (that's Cape Town, you there in the corner!), where I have done for the past ten years. I love reading, writing and anything even remotely intellectually stimulating. I tend to make a beeline for classical literature, but will give anything between a front and back cover a whirl if the mood grabs. Which I daresay it often does. I enjoy senses-of-humour and entertain these and their source with eagerness unbounded. Some of my favourite authors include P.G Wodehouse, JRR Tolkien, Douglas Adams, Alexandre Dumas, Leo Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Geoffrey Chaucer and a host of others too manifold to mention. I am quite partial to the King James version of the bible (more beautifully expressed sentiments of substance you'd be hard pressed to find imho) currently and immerse myself in it whenever I get the opportunity.

And he said he is loath to talk about himself! :) Okay, I embellished a tad (a writer is a writer is a writer) :) I am currently having a dabble with my first novel, a fantasy story set in medieval (ish) times, and (KJV immersions notwithstanding :)) afford it as much of my time as I am able. I have written countless volumes of poetry and thought the time was ripe for trying my hand at writing a fully-fledged novel. Taxing it is *Yoda mode off*

Anyway, I am quite keen on meeting like-minded individuals and learning more about the wonderful craft we all (going out on a limb here) are so passionate about. Feel free to drop me a line should you so desire, and thanks for the time you spent in reading this here essay :)
