About Me

Hi everyone my name is DallasKing. I don’t live in Dallas it’s just the name I came up with. Anyways, I found this site, I don’t usually share my work but that’s a fear I intend to overcome. I have a tough-love sort of upbringing and have become accustomed to harsh criticism. That’s why I’m very happy to be here on WritersCafe.org and I also look forward to reading other people’s work. And don’t worry, I love getting harsh criticism more than I like dishing it out. But I will always be honest about how I feel. Okay so a little bit more about me perhaps, since we’re all so interested. I’ve been on stage a lot as a drummer in bands and a stage actor. I’ve been in over 40 plays (holy crap that’s amazing to think about.) Stage acting is where I guess you could say my passion for characters and storytelling blossomed. Plus I took two years of creative writing in high school and did some stuff in college too. Most of my recent work has been focused on writing and illustrating comic strips. But I’ve been doing that for nearly ten years now and I’m eager to branch out into something more fun and more adult. Also my comic strips are all stuffed in a trunk somewhere. I never really got anywhere with it I guess. As I said before, fear of exposure to the public. I’m kind of a stupid person actually. But I do get an immense buzz from writing stories. I’ve had so many ideas forever and it’s very rewarding to finally get them out on paper. So thank you very much for reading this bio (which I’m sure is the last thing you’d want to be reading right now.) Also if you’re interested in collaboration I’m not opposed to the idea. Recently I traded material with another writer and we both re-wrote each other’s stories. It was very beneficial for both parties and I highly recommend giving it a try if you haven’t yet. Thanks again for reading, peace.
