About Me

I’m a 31 years old chocolate covered woman from London and I’m extremely passionate about the creative arts. I am passionate and have worked in different fields, but my favourite are music (I’m a singer-songwriter, session vocalist snd musician), 2D traditional art works (meaning nothing digital unless I’m designing a logo; otherwise it will always be pencil to paper and mixed media. I do this more on a commission basis. Last but certainly not least, creative writing. I have a big imagination so I’ve ghost written fiction books as well as autobiographies and memoirs. I write for blogs, I write articles about what I’m passionate about, and I love to tell stories, write scripts and short stories.
My love of writing came literally about 2 days after I re-discovered my passion for music. I always think the two are intertwined.
Uni was a tough experience, so I deal with the complex issues by returning to my love of reading and creative writing. Those painful experiences, however, made me a much better writer and someone who is not afraid to write honestly but really helped me develop my imagery skills, being able to make people feel like they were the ones in the middle of short story, poems, monologues, short stories and the scripts were about people they loved/hated/loved to hate like they knew them. Being a good story teller is key to a lot of my career goals, and it’s something I genuinely love to do. I want my readers/listeners to connect with the part of themselves that reminds them why they’re special. I love to encourage others, a lot.
My health issues, societal issues, and battling feeling low (because my body is trying to send all its resources elsewhere to keep me alive, there is always a huge drop in serotonin; especially if I’m unwell at the time. However the bright side of that is that all my creative devours are not only therapeutic for me and help me write from an honest place, I realised it’s meant to serve and help others heal also.

My mentor told me that someone else’s healing can’t begin until you start to openly showcase what is spilling out from inside your heart and soul. This writers cafe account will be my first line of defence, and criticism/advice is welcome unless it’s coming from a spiteful place and only intended to hurt. My writing style has been described as being romantic, which I suppose is true, however in the last year or so my writing has become more bold and I take more risks, because I have had to be bold and brave for my own sake.
Anyone who wants to send me their own work to critique, I would be more than happy to do so. Striving for creative excellence is not a “me” journey, it’s a “we” journey. So feel free to comment and give criticism from a loving place (or you’ll be surprised to find yourself blocked and deleted very quickly). The same goes for if you send me your work to critique/go over/help edit, I will always do so with respect and highlight what impresses me as well as what needs work.
I hope you enjoy :)
