Well, my name is Desmond Hebert and I'm 23 years old born and raised in a small fishing town in Southeastern Louisiana (about an hour south of New Orleans). I was always interested in writing since I was a young boy. I've recently found my passion for novel writing. It has become my stress reliever as I continue to pursue my degree in Nursing. I absolutely love fantasy and sci-fi. My favorite books are the Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings series and a few of James Patterson sci-fi novels. I literally have no time to read (except textbooks) but I plan on reading other fantasy series that are currently popular. My writing journey actually started in April 2012. I started writing a sci-fi novel which instantly took off into a million and one directions. I've recently put that book aside (reason: I just don't know where I want it to go yet) and started a new novel about witches. I know this seems to be pretty popular right now but that's not why I'm doing it. I've always been interested in witches, voodoo and magic. I've read books my entire life that included some bits of magic and witchcraft, it's just what I LOVE. I hope my writing journey interests many as I write about the life of a young witch living in New Orleans in the year 2028 as she struggles with her powers and the evil forces that seem to be attracted to her ever-growing list of magical powers.
