She was a nonconformist
In every definition of the word –
She wore trash bags instead of clothes
And actually read the books assigned

Because Murphy seemed to follow her everywhere.
Once, when she was little,
She had created a perfect sandcastle,

He would say, smiling
At his daughter as she asked the question
She always asked while covered
