About Me

Hello there! I suppose this is the big space where I tell you all about myself. To be honest, I never like this part :P It's hard to describe one's self to a wide audience of peers! Forgive me if I ramble on too much; I tend to do that a lot. But hey, if you leave gifts of chocolate and friend me, I will love you forever!
Now, on the the bio part and less tempting the readers hm?

I received my first journal when I was 14. My parents seemed to understand that I was very different in that I only felt comfortable expressing my true feelings on papers. In fact, when my mom and I would fight, I would later write her a letter telling her exactly how I felt about the situation.
I started writing in that same year (1998) when an English student teacher had read a story I wrote for a class project and convinced me to continue what he saw as a talent. Thanks to him, I have written numerous stories mostly in the fantasy, action/adventure genre and a lot of poems. I did write a vampire novellete in grade 11, which was very hard and took me six months to complete. (It was for a year end project). Writing in the first person is not an easy task and I applaud the authors of vampire genres and other genres who can do it. Having third person writing drilled into your brain since primary isn't easy to override :P . I received an A+++ for that one, which I was so very proud of. (Speaking of which, I lost that story somewhere in the transition of moving away from home).

I gather my inspiration from a lot of different areas. However, instrumental music seems to be what gets my creative mind firing off most easily. In fact, Panter's Shadow was inspired by a couple of Apoclyptica songs while travelling on a 3 1/2 hour bus ride. I also gather ideas from people watching. Many short stories have been formed in my mind by seeing a couple or person walking along and then I make up great stories about them...*laughs*

I write a lot of poems, but I do not force myself to sit and write one. It seems to take a certain mood to have me pick up my pen/pencil for a poem, and they are mostly very dark, depressing moods (which I'm sure some of you fellow writers can relate to). The ones I do put up on here are taken from diaries; how many I own I'm not too sure yet, though I believe that the number is more than 10.

Reading is my second passion. I will read anything as long as it can hold my interest for more than a couple chapters. The only genre that I haven't been really able to sink my teeth into is sci-fi, but more for technical reasons than anything. *hides from all the sci-fi fans*

Really, I don't believe there is much more to add. If you want to know me better, friend me :P While I suffer from the occassional mood disorder (kidding!) and gothy tendencies, I really am a nice person deep down and love to make new friends who share a passion for their creative minds, whatever the outcome.

Happy Writing!
