Well, I'm just about ready to boycott "news media" because of the continued fear it promotes and the commercial benefit for big network television when the scariest and most troubling news is flashed over and over again. I believe we have enough fear and hatred making news and not enough positive programing for a culturally advancing society. The TED series was one remarkable and credible programing which promotes positive inquiry into our world. Enhancing society with exceptional media choices would benefit many socially , scientifically and mentally. Excluding the Olympics which promotes universal and cultural diversity, television must achieve a higher level of messaging into our society.
