Earl Ciel Phantomhive is the head of the Phantomhive noble family and the son of Vincent and Rachel Phantomhive.

Ciel is cold and strict. His personality changes gradually and he becomes more aware of his other emotions. Before his parents death, Ciel was a normal happy child. But once his parents were killed and he made his contract with Sebastian, Ciel went into hiding his emotions and his smile from everyone. Rarely he smiled. When he does his smile is relaxed, even a bit mischievous. He usually smirks mockingly and finds it entertaining to challenge Sebastian. Ciel can portray himself as a happy, smiling person when the situation calls for it. Once he doesn't need to be happy and optimistic, he goes back to his normal cold self. He doesn't like taking time on pointless things that wont help him with revenge or advancing the Funtom company. Ciel dislikes talking about his past, more personal subjects, and a few other things.
