About Me

Facts about me, interesting or not:

My favourite car has always been a '69 Camaro. But I suppose if I cannot have my dream car I will settle on my Mustang.

My passion is history. I had considered, long ago, teaching until I realized history is only ever written by the winner and alas isn't always factual. I am a firm believer in the truth.

I am not always the optimist, though I try and although at times I seem to be a bit of fatalist, I do believe that every man (or woman) can change their stars.

I work and and in my spare time I write.

I am very dominant, as well as very self confident. Although my wife will tell you I am just too bossy.

Music I love, easy one, Classical Spanish and Flamenco.

I enjoy endless hours in a good book or enjoying a good movie.

I am passionate about subjects and causes I believe in.

I recently lost a brother to cancer, a three year long and uphill struggle, tragedy is nonprejudicial. I will miss him, but what I have taken from his short life will never be forgotten. He touched mine in ways he could have never imagined - outside of the few punches he gave me in our youth - which I probably deserved - he taught me to cherish ever moment of life, for it is far to short. It passes like smoke through a keyhole.

I'd like to be remembered one day as a good author.

"O My Beloved Andalus! I remember the nights and days when you were pretty like a new bride...then savage people came and looted you...killing your beloved ones...driven them to the sea....I was crying...I still do....O, my Andalus! I am coming back to you this summer...my heart is so weak to see your ruins....no matter what I will love you...I have this love from my father and he had this love from his father...The same way my son will love you....I'm ashamed O, my Andalus! I'm coming to see your splendid ruins, believe me, I still love you, Infact, I love you more..............."

"Forgiveness is the choice to see people as they are now. When we are angry at people, we are angry because of something they said or did before this moment. But what people said or did is not who they are. Relationships are reborn as we let go perceptions of our brother's past. 'By bringing the past into the present, we create a future just like the past.' By letting the past go, we make room for miracles."
