About Me

I started writing poetry at 14 inside an ‘Intro to Poetry’ class which turned out to be less fun because of the restraints of the assignments, so poetry fell away from me soon after.

A couple years pass, and begin my second attempt at poetry, writing about physical things. Despite not being great at it, the writing freedom encouraged me to continue in this iteration.

As I practiced, poetry transformed from physical writing to a medium in which I could express my internal emotions, begin thinking in ways that I did not years back and I started to see more things happen around me as I grew quieter and more introspective.

My university years arrived, putting my writing to a snail’s pace; however, it was during this time that I experimented with rap as an extension to the poetry I had been doing for so long then. Unfortunately, the time I needed to embrace this writing the most, I had let it slip through my fingers.

Now, just as I am indoors during the Covid-19 pandemic, my drive is stuck, and I hope to stir something again.
