About Me

Through his entire life, Kristoco chose to use music and words to help him survive throughout the chaos. As a teen, he bounced back and forth between home and the streets. Through the normal teenage troubles came drugs, alcohol and relationships, which emblazoned his pen. After many years of failure, torment and chaos, he gave up. Yet in 2004, he started to write again and chose to do so while he was once again homeless at 32 and just starting college.

He spent that summer living in his small rotting out Dodge pickup camping at a local Salmon Club. While there, he did his homework, cleaned the beach and wrote. As winter came, he was forced to retreat indoors to a shelter he had once worked. During his time in the shelter, he used his writing and new education to help others that resided with him.

Today he stands a proud testament to overcoming the past. He is an activist, poet, mentor and founder of a non-profit organization. Yet, it still doesn’t give him nearly as much satisfaction as helping those who he feels the world has left behind. This book is a testament to that truth and his true inner soul.

In this book (one of the many to come), he focuses on a topic which pains his soul and taints the world he lives within. You'll walk the path with him poem by poem and undoubtedly feel the pains he felt. He hopes that this book will not only be a poetry book but one of great strength to those who are homeless and a great revelation to those who have never dealt with this affliction.
