Ah, I'm not too bad. Still not drinking - almost a whole month now. I'm not a certified alcoholic you understand, just a habitual drinker. But not any more.

In fact, I feel quite reborn. How are ya M?

Not bad M, writing badly and feeling even shittier. Have tried to abstain from alchol for the good of my health but have wound up feeling far worse.
I'm sure the creative juices will start flowing again soon enough.

You should try not to worry about things being any good. When I get to thinking like that, I end up not writing anything at all. It's the most destructive thing to a writer's writing.

Just try and let it flow...and if it's crap, just write through until the good stuff starts to come out.

Listen to me, I think I'm the last person who should be giving pep talks.

Aha, you beat me to it.

Don't need to ask me twice for a weather report...I am English after all.

Ahem (clears throat)...After a mostly dry start with some sunshine, showers developed throughout the morning with some torrential downpours possible later this afternoon. Some heavy rain is expected to more North East later this evening, with the risk of localised flooding.

In other words, dour as usual. Gotta love the summer.

How's the writing going? I see you've posted some new stuff. I'm just getting back in the swing of it after a long hiatus. James x.

M, I'm not normally an irritable or angry person but you have to understand the man in question - my boss - and how much he blabbers on. I'll be facing a murder charge if he doesn't pipe down, and soon! Glad you like it though.

You know this is coming, but could I interest you in a weather update for the North East of England?

The weather's not balmy but 'barmy' over here....we've had torrential rain and flash floods every day for a month! There are villages in Yorkshire that look like places in Indonesian because of flood damage. So that's my weather update for you. I blame global warming; it's all just too strange for late June but typically s**t for our rain-lashed little island.

How you doing M? Do you have the block as well?

I'm well M...the wedding couldn't have gone any better, thank-you. And we went to Manhattan on honeymoon, which for me was mindblowing, as, for an Englishman, every scene was recognisable from the movies. Loved the architecture and the people...the Noo Yawk banter is just priceless! I see you've written some new stuff since I was last here; I'll have to check it out. Me, I can't write for toffee at the moment. So no change there then. James x.
