I appreciate the comment on my Mario story. It was probably the most thought out comment I have received.

It dragged in the middle is a very valid complaint. In my defense, it was written for a class where I had a 10 page requirement, so I had to add a lot of extra elements to meet that. I would like to blame it all on that, but even considering how long it is, I wanted to make it longer because I missed a lot of extra stuff I wanted to talk about (water levels, etc.)

I also understand the argument can be made that it lacked a real point. My creative writing class was filled with too many convoluted plots and just plain stupid ideas. I wanted to avoid making it convoluted and I also didn't want a resolution because Mario will never get some grand enlightenment because he can never talk to his creator. This story is just about how cruel would it be to be a video game programmer that gives his creation consciousness?

Anyway, I'm not trying to argue your points because they were all valid and very true, but I just wanted to offer some responses to the subject. Have a great day.
