My name is Maureen, most people call me May. I am 20 years old and currently a sophomore in college taking junior level course in the nursing program at Lourdes College. In my spare time (on the rare occasion I have it, being a nursing student), I enjoy writing. Writing is my passion, my escape. Everything that I feel comes out naturally when I write. It is my therapy. I always carry a pen with me in case an idea should pop up I can write it down quick.

I have been writing for about eight years. It started with poetry that I wrote to express my feelings following my father's death. He is my inspiration not only for my poetry, but for everything I do in my life. Before I make any big decision, I consider first what my dad would do. I ask myself if my father would be proud of the decision I made. I miss my dad every single moment of every single day and I look forward to that day when I will see him again.

Since I started writing, I have created nearly 100 or more poems, which I hope to one day publish in a small book and dedicate to my father. So any review to help me tweak my poems would help :) I have also written several short stories, and I really enjoy writing fanfiction stories.
