A freind once said "if you truly be yourself, half the world will love you, and half the world will hate you and want you to be run over by a bus." Seems to be true. I'm a fairly new writer and sparsely published, here and there. Usually I find only those who are clever readers or those who contemplate what they read enjoy my work. Those who have lived life and had difficulties seem to appreciate it most. People from less comfortable parts of the world with high intensity usually get me and my thoughts. I received letters from some very impoverished places and was told my writing actually helped them. This is what inspired me among and beyond my critics because I also get my fair share of haters and folks who seem to have nothing better to do than criticize personally. These are very different from those who simply don't seem to get it. But that's cool too. I'm not for everybody. I don't think you can be real and please all the people too. It's good that there is so much diversity. It would be better if people would realize we are all connected, like it or not. We are all much more alike than different and a peaceful world starts with change within each individual first, then uniting together the world over.
