Hey! I grew up in Akron, NY but ventured near and far by joining up and staying in the USAF for 23 years. I'm married with one adult son living in Alaska. Before moving back to NY, my spouse and I hand-built a home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. (A non-fiction 'how not to do it' book in progress!) I returned to college and earned a Creative Writing Degree from Northern Michigan University. During that time, I volunteered as a disk jockey on college radio, spinning my favorite musical genre--progressive rock, and that's what I listen to while writing. Progressive rock's extended compositions and layered/complicated nuances is how I try pattern my fiction. Most of my time these days is taken up restoring our recently purchased 1860's farmstead that is a hard-fought challenge almost equal to the challenge of writing!
