I am desperation in a streamer popper,
I'm a lesson learned in the footnotes,
I'm a cancer treatment based on broccoli and chanting
I'm the last dime you need for your last bus ride,
I speak too much about myself, 'til the sum don't make the parts no more,
and the parts I have can't ruin the sun no more,
so we'd be happiest here, neath oak leaves among soda cans,
on the sand that the littlest pieces of us make solid enough
to lay awhile, watch the waves awhile,
til the tides touches our toes
