Hi. My name is Shelley and I am a trained librarian who loves reading, writing poetry and listening to my favorite music. A born again Christian, I was raised in Connecticut and moved to New York to attend graduate school. Upon graduation I made Brooklyn my home. I consider myself a formalist poet, predominantly writing in different forms of poetry. I have been writing poetry for many years, rhyming poetry being my favorite form. I'm honing my skills in the art of Haiku and Tanka poetry writing and also enjoy writing short form poetry. I have worked in corporate America for more than fifteen years as a documentation specialist. Presently I am retired and am living in Phoenix, Arizona.
