About Me

Felix Gantioqui (a.k.a. Six The Northstar) is a hip hop MC, producer and occasional event host and radio DJ based in San Juan, Metro Manila; whose aim as an artist is always to push the envelope further, and to churn out music with no compromises and no sugar coating.

Having founded GH13 at the age of 14 with D-Cal; the two then went on to form Archonz Akeen with Marlowe, Plazma, Latchbox/Rambling Man, Chec, P-Slikk and Seized One. Archonz Akeen, in turn, took part in the foundation of AMPON in 2003. Shortly thereafter, Six The Northstar left Metro Manila for an eight-year stint in Bacolod City, where he honed his skills by playing the turntables for local bands. He also stayed in touch with and gave back to the hiphop community through his job as a DJ for an FM radio station.

Currently affiliated with AMPON, MDK, Obra Maestra, the Watchtower and the Archonz Initiative; the masked musician is nevertheless best known as a solo performer -- especially after the release of his Galacticquantumleap EP in 2010. Six The Northstar's tracks have also appeared in several compilations (including, among others, AMPON's Dekoding Rhythm in 2006 and Slanted Planets this 2012). He was featured as an MC in Skarm's Lazy Boy Blues in 2007 and NothingElse's Is Out There in 2009; and as a producer, has done work for A Problem Like Maria (then Lil Miao)'s Katipunera EP, Plazma's Genocide Journals and Food Shelter and Clothing's "Communique (Remix)."

Six The Northstar now wears a Nova mask; it is his latest addition to the long-running and continuing mask-wearing tradition started by the late AMPON turntablist Miguel Agoncillo (a.k.a. Lamok). Now back in Metro Manila, his upcoming projects include: The Secret Invasion, a collaborative effort with producer Moki McFly; a solo project tentatively titled Cerebro, said to be his last album featuring himself on the mic; a possible Obra Maestra album; and finally, finishing up MurderDeathKill's long awaited double CD offering.
