I am a freelance writer currently sulking in New York City. A majority of the items posted on this page will be about American politics, so if you want to read poetry about fantasy worlds where guys are buff and sweet at the same time, you would be best to look for another profile.

Since I am a political essayist, it seems fit to tell the potential reader what my philosophy is exactly. To put it simply, I am a progressive. I believe that abortion rights should be protected, capital punishment should be abolished, and that the war in Iraq is one of the biggest military failures in American history. Who do I support for president? It�s hard to say. I am not going to support Barack Obama because he does not have the political experience necessary to run the country. I am not going to support Hillary Clinton because she is, in the end, old news, and this country needs something new. Ralph Nader? Maybe if his ego wasn�t so bloated�

When it comes to religion, I am an atheist. I have been ever since I was capable of rational thought. Now, I must tell you that I have, in fact, read the Bible and other religious writings. But it is my firm belief that the events described in H. G. Wells� �The War of the Worlds� are more likely to happen than the second coming of Jesus Christ. That�s just me, though.
