Titles are a deal-breaker for me, which isn't fair but I can't help it. If your short story is titled "Come Back My Love" or "Black Soul Weeping," I will not touch it. It is among WC's Untouchable caste.

My favorite writers are Hunter S. Thompson, JK Rowling (Casual Vacancy: yummy), Paul Theroux, Haruki Murakami and Gillian Flynn. According to GoodReads I enjoy psychological thrillers, adult contemporary fiction, cultural and historical fiction, magical realism, memoirs, speculative fiction, and "thought-provoking, dark and/or gritty" novels. If you shoot me a read request, please use your best judgment & aim for one of these. I'll also be much more likely to take you up on RRs if you extend the same courtesy.

Please, however, keep your rainbow stickers away from me. I can tell when someone's skimmed through another person's work and comments "Great characterization - kudos!" because they're desperate for feedback themselves. Asshat.
